Remembrance Holidays & Gratitude

2016AFDPosterMay-June holidays bring to mind our debt as U.S. citizens to freedom and our armed forces: Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day and Juneteenth. Remembrance holidays. I started tweeting about them this past week and will continue through June.

Frank and I both have fathers who served in World War II and they are, I’m grateful to say, still with us. From an early age we learned about the sacrifice and duty of citizenship, by our parents’ example. They lived it. Sometimes they talked about it; usually on remembrance holidays.
